Both are great, although the longer handled version admittedly takes a bit less concentration to wield successfully, particularly if you grew up on a post-DE razor. I use both a short "E-3" and a long handled "International Silver" injector as part of my regular rotation. These are closest in feel to "post-DE" razors.

Many prefer the longer handled versions that originated with the ladies Eversharp model and the "Golden 500," and continued on through the "M" series and the end of production. With the exception of the adjustable dial version of the injector, all changes through the production life of the razor were essentially cosmetic (and there are some who will argue that the adjustable dial is also a cosmetic gimmick). But beware - you can't use the pressure on an injector that you would apply to a "post-DE" razor, or your face will look like sushi. So the learning curve on a injector is neither long nor steep.
